09-12-2006 Prague - Christmas city in the morning

On friday I was in the old city after work. There is great christmas atmosphere - but you must look apart from all the sellers, which are trying to take you last money.

Yep, even for things like water you can spend all wallet's moneys at square like "Vaclavske namesti" or "Staromestske namesti". Anyway, if you like to swim through the tons of people, then you must go to the city in the same time like me on friday evening.

Decorations in old town is really nice, some of them are kindly sponsored by little firms like Vodafone ... etc. Do you know that idea of christmas in RED and WHITE is inspired by Coca Cola and teir christmas advertising - which the made far far years ago? No? But it's true.

Ok, if you want really enjoy the city like Prague, you have only one choice - go to the city early in the morning - as I do on saturday.

I wanted to make some christmas photos, so here they are.

Celetna street, shoted from cafetery "Kubista".

I came to the city too soon - I didn't count with such a bad weather - the sun was behind the clouds and sunrise was very gray. I spent more than hour just walking on the old town streets - the are really paintfull.

"Ovocny Trh" square, shoted from cafetery "Kubista".

In the background there is st. Havel's church - "Kostel sv. Havla", and of course christmas tree sponsored woth my favorite mobile phone company. Oh, I almost forget - not only tree, but also REAL ice-skating area. No faked one, but real one ... ok, I'll let it be, they are so real.

One more shot from Celetna street

If you are tourist in Prague, don't be lazy and wake up early, it's worth of it. You will fell like an actor in a movie.

I can't help myself and stop trying some photoshop madness with photos, here are some variations, I hope you'll like them.

Jakubska street.

With "chram Matky bozi" church ("Staromestke namesti") in the background

st. Havel's church - "Kostel sv. Havla" again with cubistic cafetery in the front.

Enjoy one of the last working weeks before christmas.
