25-01-2007 Prague - PKF homework : Silent place

I sign up to photo school (or course) at http://www.nauctesefotit.cz Our first homework was to make a shot of silent place (zátišie :-) ).

Instructor gave us some rules :

- it's better to be a BW photo than color (I'm going to try both)
- it must be something simple, and not very large
- can be artificial or arranged (it's harder) or natural (easier - I must agree except you have your own photo studio)

As I think it is easy, so it's not. Yesterday I was trying to make a artificial silent place inside my flat, but I hadn't good light. Today I went to post office and took camera with me. Fortune smiled to me and my inspiration came in the face of snow shapes.

I still have almost 3 weeks for next examples, so I'll add new ones if they worth of it.

Snow silent place in BW

Snow silent place in colour

All blog entries market in the title with "PKF homework" are homeworks for photo-school, just for information. Let me know, which ones you like more.

Inspiration came in early hours in the morning

I'm not sure about range of this gengre (silent place), but I think this is silent place too. I shoot this stuffs near my flat during afternoon walk.

Enemy in color

Some stuffs from my flat corners ....

Combo with speakers

My electric guitar

Unfottunately, I didn't play the guitar for a longer time.

Something from my bookcase

OK, I hope these two are better, I bought 500W halogen lamp and start trying ...

21-01-2007 Prague - Hill over the Liehovar

I went to walk outside this Sunday, as usual with photo camera ready. No big deal with shots, but walk was really nice, I couldn't believe that I'm still in Prague. When I came back, I had a storm behind my feet, here are (just) two shots - this time no artistic ones.

Up on the hill

Church retreat - almost without any computer retouching

Fortunately this tram was not mine.

Nice next week to all of you, anyway I bought a Cokin filters and I'm going to learn how to make great shots with them.

I'm at home till 1. February. As I have a lot of free time, I'm browsing my older photos, which I never published and I think they worth of it.

They is no relationship between them, so don't try to find something, what doesn't exist.

Some of them I like quite enough, so here they are.

One actual photo, from Kozarovce. One cold morning signed on the fence

30-12-2006 CHocske vrchy - Choc mountain peak

A day before new year I visited my friend in Ruzomberok. He likes nature and mountains, so we decided to take a trek to near mountain peak - Choc. This peak is quite frequently visited, so we met a lot of people in the bus. With 3 of them we join together and started to walk up. One of them is a parashutist, and carried a parashute on his back (40 Kgs). He promissed to jump down, so we were wondering.

Let's see some photos form the way up

Say hello to mountains. Still moving up.

This is final view from the top of the Choc.

Choc.

Say good bye to Boris, our parashutist.

Don't worry, he landed softly. But before this famous jump, we helped him to take a good wind into his sail (not me, I was a photographist ;-) )

19-12-2006 Mala Fatra - Maly rozsutec

When I came home during christmas holidays, I decided to take a trek in Mala Fatra. Highest point (and the destination) on may way was hill called "Maly Rozsutec". It is not very easy way in winter, becouse I decided to go through "Horne diery" - it is a gogre maded by a mountain creek. There is a lot of iron ropes, iron ledders ... etc, which are completly freezed in the winter. Probably that was reason, why I did not meet any people on my way ;-)

OK, let's see some photos from Horne diery :

This is at the begining.

It's the creek which made wonderfull nature creations, called holes (Diery).

Climbing up at the river side

There was a lot of sections where you must (or want? ;-) ) go in the creek. As I want to make a good photos at bad light, I take a tripod with me, auuu.

Wonderful water creations

And another one.

...

Walking time of this section is marked to 45 minutes, but took almost 3 hours for myslef. A lot of amazing and inspirative compositions can give you beautiful nature.

The way up

This is easy part of the way, but there were harder ones.

View from "Pod tanecnicou"

My destination, Maly Rozsutec

I'm preparing complete way details in new blog, I'll give link on this blog little later, so watch this blog frequently ;-)

Have a nice week and a lot of fun in new year
