26-04-2006 Bratislava - Flora exposition

These days (26 - 30.4.2006, everyday to 19h evening) is about Flora exposition. It's exposition of flowers, garden techniques and all what belong to flora at all. Exposition is situated to Incheba hall, near Aupark shopping center. I was there during the first day, but I'm still little bit confused. Flowers were nice, but there is not a lot of them and everything seemed to be bored (people and flowers too).

"BIG" attraction is prehistorical tree, but this tree was in the cage and so was almost impossible to make any photo. Big deal, it looked like a normal coniferous tree.

I found only these photos usefull, becouse of terrible light in the hall. (I hadn't my tripod with me).

22-04-2006 Prague - Botanic garden

This week I visited my uncle http://www.malec.name in Prague city.
It's one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen. On saturday I was on little concert of Eva Henychova and public lecture. Uncle took myself to botanic garden next day (Sunday). I was surprised and with borrowed lens (Sigma 70-300) I made some photos, Enjoy them. The are not perfect, but I like them a lot.

Original plan was to go Botanic garden in Troja (near ZOO garden). Unfortunately (or fortunately?) the bridge to Troja was under construction, so we went to another Botanic garden near Carl's square.

At the most cases I couldn't remember the name of plants, so don't expect it from me. :-(

16-04-2006 Kozarovce - Easter and nature

Easter is great religious celebration, Jesus christ beat the death after crucifiction. People usually travel home and are with their parent families. So do I.
I try to relax in beautiful nature around for most of time. Nature is the best place for relaxing commonly. And of course shoting a photos. Here are some of them:

A lot of people fire their lands of dry grass in the spring. Can anybody survive? This was a lucky one. But when I arrived, the land was allready cool.

There was a tons of them, I had to pay attention not to kill them with my feet. This place found my mother, I have never been there, and it's a village with less than 1000 inhabitants.

Nature around Klakovsky potok (Klak's creek) is beautifull. Unfortunately I forget, that spring in this place begins a month later ;-) I will be there more times, and maybe will shot better photos. Till now, here are some :

Do you believe this flowers grow up in the wild nature? Little mistake, they grow up in little rock garden, near cottage up in the hills.

If you have head full of problem, go to the nature, she answer to you with a untold silence. Be carefull not to be eaten by bears.

02-04-2006 Bratislava - 1.st Bratislava's marathon

This weekend came to pass first Bratislava city marathon. I provide some photos from this event, as I was there. General sponsor of this marathon was Tatra Banka company (if I remember good).

The marathon was opened by city mayor, but there was several other well-known hosts helping to open marathon. I have some shots of politics like prime minister ... etc, but it's not very interesting. More interesting was our tennis player no.1 : Dominik Hrbaty.

Dominik didn't run marathon, but maybe next years ;-)

Before running marathon itself, there was another discipline : Inline skates championship.

Main discipline was running marathon : Full marathon, Half marathon and Quarter marathon. They started at the same time, but their ways were different. This is the start :

After start everybody moved to "Hviezdislavove namestie" - final stage of marathon. I shoted some photos with people, which are very important on this actions:

Then remained waiting for first place. First of all (of course) came inline-skater from Czech republic. He won with system start line - finish line. Really. Here he is :

01-04-2006 Bratislava - Historical graveyard (Ondrejsky cintorin)

"Ondrejsky cintorin" is historical graveyard in the centre of Bratislava established in 1784. It's very quiet place, old people or couples go to walk there. When I was there (on saturday evening), all possible creatures occurs there : Old fashion couple holding their hands, young couple kissing with passion on the bench, two drunking men fringhten everything 50m around, jogging girl with MP3 player on the ears, security guard trying to not see drunking men, and of course photographist (me).

Next to the graveyard there is a place called medical garden (Medicka zahrada), where is more activity, nice finished grass, benches trees, very nice place for relax. Young people often play sport games there.
